A nice spot with a view of a modern indoor-outdoor shopping center. the area is peaceful and offers the chance to play table football or regular football. the room is clean, bright, and overlooks a garden. 🌿

The fact that it was slightly further along the Promenade than the rest of the main hotels,away from the hustle and bustle and set in beautiful gardens and swimming pools. Having said that all the Pestana Hotels further down the road were cleverly designed by way of location and amenities; we visited them all during our three week stay in the Grand. We were somewhat spoilt insofar as we were there the week before, during and after Christmas the latter week taking in the new year celebrations. All in all the staff, food, entertainment and general ambience of the Hotel was excellent as was the beauty of the Island and the friendliness of the people on it.

The lighting in the rooms, although adequate in number, could be a slightly higher wattage (especially at the far end of the bathroom - a minor detail. Other than that the hotel was faultless.

The location was marvelous and the views from the room (specifically requested prior).

1) No wifi in the room (plus the wifi in the lounge is paid!) 2) Bathroom: shower leaking, bathroom accessories do not meet 5-star standards 3) New Years Dinner did not meet expectations at all 4) Under staffed, and staff were not capable of providing suitable advise regarding restaurants/activities/hotel facilities (for instance, we were recommended to eat a a local budget take-away pizzeria as the best place for gourmet salads). 5) Spa facilities were overcrowded, not enough facilities; plus no warm showers! Plus, a terrible schedule when the facilities were closed: from 11 - 16:00!

The rooms here are quite spacious and come with a balcony, flat-screen TV, and a safe, making it a great recommendation for a stay.

We liked the view over the ocean which was very pretty. The rooms are clean and spacious, staff is very friendly and willing to give advice about levadas. A very nice place to stay. A pity the water in the outdoor poll was not heated.

This place is a great choice to stay, with a wonderful location close to complimentary transportation, offering clean and spacious rooms with fresh towels provided.

Very relaxing stay in a fantastic town. Brand-new hotel in a lovely quiet area not far from a cliff with stunning views of the coast including the 580m high cliff known as Cabo Girão, the Pestana Grand, Madeira 2013,2014 and 2018 and the city centre and all other places of interest. Hot breakfast for all different tastes for all tastes.

Well designed to catch the light so nice and bright. Good happy hour.

Only a buffet available when we went for dinner on the Monday night - all the specialist restaurants closed. So we didn't bother.

The views of the sunrise were stunning. the room was high standard and recently refurbished. the bed and pillows were comfy. the hotel is situated in a very spacious building in a perfect and quiet location, on top of a cliff with stunning views of the coast.

We would happily go back again, thanks a lot for a very positive stay. It has marvellous and fab location 25 km away from the airport.

The aircon wasn@t adequate in the whole of the hotel dread to think what its like when its in the middle of summer.and they only ever had 25 umbrellas for the pool area,silly when you see how many rooms they have.

The twin room had a very comfy bed, a nice balcony, a safe, and armchairs; the location was particularly good and stunning, close to a bus stop if needed.

The hotel is high-class with hard-working staff providing amazing service. the location in a lovely quiet area is excellent. - There are shopping centres and a local supermarket nearby. - I enjoyed dining in the a la carte restaurant nearby.
